Every row, column and 2×3, 2×2 or 3×3 box must contain each number once. You do not tap cells: pick a number from the tray, then tap a column. The number falls to the lowest empty cell. Fill lower gaps first. In the app, open the ? button for the full rules or replay the tutorial.
The level starts again with a fresh board and the full time. After two failed tries you can use Skip this level for 400 Sparks. Skipped levels stay on your map so you can come back for the stars. There is no way to buy extra time.
By clearing levels, finishing without mistakes, finishing quickly, completing rows, columns and boxes, and opening chests every 10 levels. Sparks cannot be bought.
One star for clearing a level, two for no mistakes, three for no mistakes with at least a quarter of the time left.
The first five levels of every board are open from the start, so you can play them in any order. From Level 6 on, each level opens when the one before it is cleared (or skipped). Locked levels show a padlock; tap one to see what unlocks it.
On purpose. The first time you open a level you see the original board. Every restart after that, and every replay, gives you the same puzzle strength with different digits and shuffled columns, so you can’t just remember where each number goes. It is exactly as hard as before, with the same gaps and the same time limit, and it can always be solved by logic alone.
One puzzle a day, picked from your calendar date, so everyone with the same date gets the same one. Clearing it pays 25 Sparks plus up to 30 for your streak. Replays keep your best result but pay nothing. Your streak counts consecutive days with a cleared Daily Drop.
Settings → “Daily Drop reminder (7 pm)”. It is off until you turn it on. If it will not turn on, allow notifications for NumFall in iOS Settings → Notifications.
Sign in to Game Center in iOS Settings, then reopen NumFall. Achievements and leaderboard scores are sent the next time you play. The Achievements list inside NumFall (Settings → Achievements) works without Game Center.
Every board is split into groups of ten levels (Levels 1–10, Levels 11–20 and so on). Each group has a name and a difficulty meter: one to five flames, followed by the word Difficulty. One flame is the gentlest group on that board and five flames is the hardest. The flames only compare groups on the same board, and each group gets harder than the one before it.
No. NumFall is only for iPhone and iPad (iOS 17 or later), from the App Store. There is no Android, Windows or web version.
Quick (4×4) is short and snappy, Classic (6×6) is the full experience, Master (9×9) has big boards and a long clock. All three are open from the start and each has its own progress.
Settings → Player → Edit name, or Settings → “Reset all progress…” → “Delete everything” to remove your name, progress and sessions from the device and your iCloud copy. See the Privacy Policy.
